Promote Free and Democratic Elections

“I pledge to strengthen democratic participation in my community.”

I commit to do the following:

• Make a plan to vote
• Reminding people of voter registration deadlines
• Carrying a QR code linking to my state’s voter registration page
• Holding signs to remind people to vote
• Help neighbors understand where and how to vote
• Share accurate information about voting rights

I will serve as a poll monitor in Boston or another location targeted by the DOJ.

Take Strategic and Nonviolent Action

“If democratic processes are threatened, I pledge to respond with nonviolent actions.”

I commit to do the following:

• Participating in nonviolent demonstrations
• Joining or organizing boycotts
• Supporting sit-ins or stand-ins
• Coordinating with local organizations for collective action

I will protect election results by educating myself and others on our rights and being part of an extended rapid response network.

Be Prepared

“I pledge to prepare myself and my community so we can act.”

I commit to do the following:

• Make a contact list of local and state elected officials
• Learn de-escalation and nonviolent response tactics
• Print or save pamphlets on voting rights and democratic processes
• Identify trusted news and fact-checking sources
• Learn how to recognize and counter misinformation
• Set aside time, resources, or funds for rapid response
• Connect with local civic or community groups

I will share information with my friends, family, and neighbors to ensure they understand the threats to our democracy and the steps they can take, individually and collectively, to help protect against the final destruction of our democratic institutions through election sabotage.

Solidarity

“If individuals or communities are targeted, I pledge to stand with them.”

I commit to do the following:

• Provide financial assistance to targeted individuals or groups
• Participate in supportive standouts or vigils
• Join a social media amplification team
• Help counter misinformation with verified facts
• Accompany vulnerable individuals to public events

I will make myself available to protect vulnerable people when I can, and when I can't I will make a financial contribution to organizations supporting them.

• Share accurate information about voting rights

I am a trained Election Protector and am looking into ballot curing.
